The idea was to let people comment at the bottom of this page to decide who had the best costume.
So we put up a few suggestions and waited to see what would happen. The problem was that somebody tried to manipulate the voting (mentioning no names but he was dressed in silver and he wasn’t Robocop) by getting all their mates to votes for them. The votes were cast so close together that it was too blatant to ignore.
As there were only two organisers this year we couldn’t make our minds up. So we think it’s best to just leave it the way it is and let people work it out for themselves. Next year the judges will be back and their decision will be final!
Contenders:

Silver Surfer

Ninja Turtles (plus Master Splinter)

Robocop

Gingerbread Man

Child Catcher (left)

Boris Johnson?
Or someone else?
A downstairs room at the suitably named Slaughtered Lamb was procured to mark the events fifth anniversary.

Costume highlights included a magician pulling a sweaty and pale head out of a hat, Adam Ant, Michael Jackson (Thriller version of course), Prince, Edward Scissorhands, Darth Vader, Captain America (x2), Batman (Fathers 4 Justice), Wolverine, Pumpkin Head, Popeye, Sadie the Goat and the usual collection of cats, ghosts and she devils.

Who had the best costume at Halloween 5 was a difficult one to call. There was a notably good Prince and some good pumpkins but after much deliberation it was decided that Khama Matiti’s Michael Jackson (from the Thriller video) impersonation was the best.

Khama’s wife Jo (pictured with him above) threatened to assault one of the organisers some time after the party if her man wasn’t awarded the best costume gong. The reason for the delay of his inevitable victory is sadly due to only having these three pictures to confirm the greatness of his costume.

Khama has promised that more will follow so watch this space!
